Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Obolos, a personal finance tracking app. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

The service

Obolos lets you record accounts, transactions, transfers, savings goals, and planned payments across multiple currencies, and shows statistics, conversions, and forecasts based on what you enter. It is a manual tracker: it does not connect to your bank and does not move money.

Not financial advice

Numbers shown in the app — including currency conversions, forecasts, and insights — are informational calculations based on your own records and published exchange rates. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and may contain inaccuracies. Verify important figures independently.

Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old. You may delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion is permanent.

Subscriptions

Some features require a paid Premium subscription or one-time purchase, billed through your Apple ID. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your App Store settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.

Data processing

The service relies on infrastructure and processing subcontractors (hosting, error monitoring, and — only with your explicit opt-in — an AI provider for smart recognition), as described in the Privacy Policy. We remain responsible to you for their handling of your data.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no attempts to breach security, scrape or overload the API, reverse-engineer the service, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it, and we are not liable for indirect damages or losses arising from reliance on figures in the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months. Export your data regularly if it is important to you.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
